When it comes to beauty products, I know that I am not an expert. I have a minimalist approach to life (less is more) and when it comes to beauty, it’s the same. I think the most make-up I’ve ever worn was back in Grade 8. My “look” consisted of shimmery eyeshadow and frosted lipstick. Frosted lipstick, wow!
One thing my mom always encouraged us to do was to moisturize our skin. From a very young age, I remember using a moisturizer daily. I don’t think twice about it because it is so much a part of my routine. I didn’t think twice about what I was putting on my skin and bought a cheap, drugstore brand that seemed to do the trick. Since having kids, I’ve made the switch to organic beauty products but the one I needed to change was my moisturizer.
For the past few months, I’ve been using “Lighten Up” Brightening Serum by K’Pure Naturals. To be honest, when I first saw the product, I thought it would make my skin feel very sticky because it is oil-based but it didn’t.
Here are a few reasons why I love this product:
- It is made of organic ingredients. If I’m putting something on my skin, I want to know the ingredients used, know that they are not toxic for my body and that they are nourishing and repairing my skin.
- I apply it in the morning after cleansing my skin and my face feels hydrated all day.
- It doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or oily.
- It adds a natural-looking glow and my skin looks brighter.
- A little bit of the serum goes a long way. I usually only use two drops and that’s plenty.
- It is made locally and I love supporting local businesses.
I cannot recommend this product enough. It is the only beauty product that I have finished.
