For some, this term might give you flashbacks of those light-washed, high-waisted, tapered legged jeans that emphasized all the WRONG places. I never wore those jeans but growing up, I remember seeing ladies rockin’ them around.
Some might be surprised but the mom jean is BACK! Fortunately, modern versions are more flattering and a lot more sleek than before. I, personally, like them because they not only provide another option to the skinny jean but the high waist adds more coverage. I find the more relaxed fit more comfortable than my skinnies.
If you are a bit leery of this trend but want to give it a try, I suggest going with a darker wash. It can always be dressed up with a blouse and heels or pared down with a tee.
