This is definitely out of my comfort zone. When it comes to cosmetics, I use a few products and have found that I have the worst luck when it comes to trying out new shades of lip colour. Trying a colour on my wrist doesn’t do much for me. I often love the colour only to go home and wonder why it looks completely different on my lips. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
I have heard so much about Nars Orgasm blush that I wanted to give it a try. At Sephora, I tested out both the liquid and the powder versions. I opted for the powder version for two reasons: I’m no expert when it comes to makeup application and the liquid blush just wasn’t working for me. I tried it and was just making a mess of it.
The powdered blush is great for adding a hint of colour to your cheeks but can be layered to add a more dramatic look. Compared to some blushes, this one is a bit more expensive for the amount of blush you get. I don’t tend to use a lot of blush at a time, so I don’t mind the size. I’m also willing to invest in a colour that I love.
I bought another Nars product – a lip gloss also in orgasm.
I love both of the products but my favourite is the lip gloss. It goes on smooth, moisturizes your lips and adds a hint of colour. It could be worn everyday or layered over another lip colour. I use it all of the time.
I’d rather find products that I love and know that I’ll use a lot, instead of buying some that I’m not so sure about and don’t end up wearing.
