I find that there are a lot of kids’ toys, games and play structures that are very colorful. Color is a great thing but it can be a bit much at times.
This weekend I completed a DIY that I thought some of you might like. It’s one of the simplest, quickest DIYs that I’ve ever done. It’s simply spray painting alphabet magnets. I LOVE the way ours turned out. I didn’t realize at the time but I should have bought more than one pack so that Spencer (or I) could form multiple words on the fridge with them. I bought mine from the dollar store so they were very inexpensive.
Here’s what to do:
Spread magnets out on newspaper
Spray one coat of spray paint and let dry for a couple of minutes. Spray another coat on magnets and let dry (I applied two coats in total).
This is the spray paint that I used:
Materials Needed:
- Alphabet Magnets (I bought mine from the dollar store)
- Gold (or other color) spray paint (I bought it from Michaels)
- Newspaper or other material to protect the area that you’re working in
Instructions:
- Spread magnets out on newspaper
- Spray one coat of spray paint
- Let dry for a couple of minutes
- Spray another coat on magnets and let dry (I applied two coats in total)
