A Lot on My Plate

Feeding toddlers can be frustrating. I am fortunate that Spencer hasn’t been a fussy eater.

I wanted to make sure he was eating not only healthy foods but also a variety of foods, especially at lunch time, as I found myself not planning those meals very well.

While shopping I came across a children’s bamboo dinnerware set which included a plate, cup, bowl, fork and spoon. I was first drawn to the aesthetic of it. I’m not really into childish looking items – with the latest T.V. characters or really bright colors. I loved that this one was more neutral in color but also could do what I wanted it to – remind me to add variety to Spencer’s meals.

The set is made by Love Mae, a company out of Australia that is all about taking care of the earth. All of their products are biodegradable!, non-toxic and dishwasher safe (however, not microwave or oven-safe)!

When the set is not in the dishwasher, it’s being used for Spencer’s meals. I especially like the plate as it has different sections that you can fill with a main dish, veggies, protein, fruit, etc. As a mom, it reminds me to add variety to his plate….and it only helps that he loves seeing (and tasting) the different types of food with each meal.

Dinnerware sets can be found here and here
