A Change in Perspective

If there is one thing I enjoy, it’s shopping for clothes. I find it a quick and relaxing thing to do.

I was recently challenged by a student presentation on child labor. In particular, they share about some stores (that I shop at) that have factories overseas that use child labor. I left that day with a lot on my mind. I didn’t know how I could justify buying a shirt for a cheaper price knowing that most likely, a child, made it.

There are so many good reasons to buy ethically made clothing: whether it’s to support local business, protect the environment or counter cheap, fast fashion.

I’ve linked a few companies whose clothing and accessories my kids are wearing. I’m still on the look out for some ethical brands for women. If you know of any, I would love to hear them.
